Paul Quinn began appraising aircraft with the National Aircraft Appraisers association in 2009, becoming a Senior Appraiser in 2010. At the end of 2018, the NAAA closed its doors as the owner retired. The Professional Aircraft Appraisal Organization was formed by a group of former NAAA Senior Appraisers and Advisors. With his time at the NAAA Paul also became a Buyer’s Agent, which specializes in helping first time buyers define what they need in an aircraft.
Paul has appraised hundreds of aircraft over the last eleven years, everything from partially completed kit aircraft (experimental) up through small business jets. Included in the portfolio are helicopters and the occasional odd aircraft engine. As an ATP and CFII flight instructor, with both land and sea ratings, he has flown a multitude of general aviation aircraft before completing his career for a major airline. With over 22,000 hours, he is still active in the aviation community, not only as a pilot and instructor but helping others with their aircraft appraisal needs.
As a Senior Appraiser he is certified by the PAAO (Professional Aircraft Appraisal Organization) to complete USPAP appraisals, which are required by the IRS for donations of non-cash gifts in excess of $5000.00. These types of appraisals are also recommended for legal proceedings.
If you are in need of an aircraft appraisal, or have any questions about the process, feel free to contact Paul at 206 719-7199 or email him at jpaulquinn@gmail.com.
